Q.  Who are qualified to be a PCMBAI member?

A. PPA regular, outsourced, contract of service and retired personnel. (as provided in Sec. 2.1 of PCMBAI MC No. 01-2024)

 

Q.  How to apply for membership?

A.  Fill-out the membership form and Biographical Data Sheet (BDS) (as provided in Sec. 2.2 of PCMBAI MC No. 01-2024)

 

Q. How do I pay my annual membership?

A.

  • Regular / COS personnel - deduction through payroll and other bonuses the amount equivalent to one (1) day salary (basic salary divided by 22 days) but not higher than Five Thousand Pesos (P5,000.00) (as provided in Sec. 2.3 of PCMBAI MC No. 01-2024)
  • New / additional and retired members – through direct payment/deposit to PCMBAI Account Nos. PVB 4220000268 or LBP 0282-1155-14

Q. I missed remitting my membership dues through payroll deduction, can I pay through over the counter or bank transfer/deposit?

A.  Yes, details as mentioned above and should provide copy of the same to PCMBAI for recording purposes.

 

Q. What are the benefits of PCMBAI?

A. There are various assistance PCMBAI is providing for active members:

  • Medical
  • Loss of Property due to fire and calamity 
  • PABAON
  • Death of Immediate Family Member
  • Death of Member

Q. I forgot to file my financial assistance claim two (2) years ago, can I still file now?

A. No.  You are given one (1) full year only to file for financial assistance.

      Ex.  If your medical condition happened December of last year, you have up to December of this year to file for financial assistance.

Q.  How much can I claim as medical financial assistance?

A.  A qualified member (has undergone hospitalization services) may apply for a one (1) time medical assistance of P25k for P100k and P50k for P150k medical receipts respectively.  (as provided in Sec. 4.1 of PCMBAI MC No. 01-2024)

 

Q. The HMO and Philhealth covered the medical expenses amounting to P200k, can I still apply for medical assistance?

A. Yes, as long as the medical expense has reached the amount of P100k or P150k regardless if it was already covered by any medical insurance, you may still apply for PCMBAI medical assistance.

 

Q.  Can I apply for a medical claim for my parent, spouse or children?

A.  No, since the member is the only ones qualified for medical claim.

 

Q. What are the required documents if my spouse dies? 

A. Marriage contract and death certificate.

 

Q. I am a single parent, am I qualified to apply for financial assistance for the death of my child?

A. Yes, you may claim Fifteen Thousand Pesos (P15,000.00) and need to attach the child’s birth certificate and death certificate (as provided in Sec. 4.3.2 of PCMBAI MC No. 01-2024)

 

Q. Can I apply for financial assistance if my parent dies? 

A.  You may if you are single and will be granted Fifteen Thousand Pesos (P15,000.00) but need to attach your birth certificate and death certificate of your parent. (as provided in Sec. 4.3.2 of PCMBAI MC No. 01-2024)

 

Q. I am single, however, both of my parents are dead, who will be my beneficiary/ies?

A. You may enroll two (2) of your siblings who are still single. (as provided in Sec. 4.3.2 of PCMBAI MC No. 01-2024)

 

Q. For damage to property claim, what is considered as total damage to property?

A. Owned or rented house with its contents completely gutted by fire, swept away by flood or toppled down by earthquake. (as provided in Sec. 4.2 of PCMBAI MC No. 01-2024)

 

Q. What is considered as partial damage to property?

A. Toppled walls, roofs that are blown away except toppled fences (basic parts of the house only) (as provided in Sec. 4.2 of PCMBAI MC No. 01-2024)

 

Q. Some of my appliances (tv, ref) were destroyed during an earthquake, can I apply for financial assistance under calamity?

A. The calamity assistance is aimed at providing the member a little help to repair minor damages of the house but not the furnitures/fixtures including appliances inside the house.

 

Q. I have a vacation house destroyed by typhoon, can I apply for assistance?

A. No as only your residential house is insured under the calamity assistance.

 

Q. What is the PCMBAI PABAON program?

A. PABAON is a PCMBAI token to retiring members who have stayed with PCMBAI for ten (10) years or more and has not filed any claim for ten (10) consecutive years. The token amount is Twenty Thousand Pesos (P20,000.00). (as provided in Sec. 5.1 of PCMBAI MC No. 01-2024)

 

Q. I will be compulsory retiring two (2) months from now, can I apply for PABAON in advance?

A. A member may apply the PABAON only after retirement from service and the application should have an attached certification from respective Responsibility Center

 

Q. If a member dies, how much will be given to the beneficiary?

A. A death benefit of Fifty Thousand Pesos (P50,000.00) will be granted to the designated beneficiary (as provided in Sec. 4.3 of PCMBAI MC No. 01-2024)

 

Q. If a retired member gets sick or dies after retirement, is he/she still qualified for claim?

A. Yes, if the retired member is still a member for the said year of claim, the annual membership coverage is until December 31 of said year.

 

Q. Can anybody claim for my PCMBAI benefits in case of any eventualities?

A. Legal heir/s are the initial claimant, but if your claimant is not related by blood, you shall have submitted to PCMBAI a notarized declaration form specifying the name of said beneficiary.
